Updated: 5 days ago

X-officio has been appointed by CTAO to assist with the transfer of its operations to CTAO ERIC. The Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) will be the largest next-generation ground-based observatory for very high-energy gamma-ray astronomy. It will consist of two telescope arrays: one located in the southern hemisphere at the Paranal astronomical observation site in Chile, operated by the European Southern Observatory (ESO), and the other in the northern hemisphere on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands, Spain). X-officio will collaborate closely with the CTAO team to ensure a seamless transition.

X-officio Managing Director, Dr. Ohad Graber-Soudry, commented:“Our specialised expertise, extensive experience, and proven success in supporting research infrastructures place us in an excellent position to assist CTAO in this critical transition. We are committed to working closely with the CTAO team to ensure the transfer of operations to CTAO ERIC is smooth and efficient, laying the foundation for its success as a world-class observatory for very high-energy gamma-ray astronomy.”
