Drafting IPR Policy
Updated: Dec 18, 2017
There are many considerations that need to be taken into account when drafting a bespoke IPR & inventions policy for a research infrastructure.
Considerations vary and include the area of activity of the research infrastructure, the scope of IP activity, degree of collaboration with third parties (e.g., in-kind partners), the expectation from members of the AFC and Assembly of Members, and obviosly, the applicable regulatory constraints, such as the Stautues or Conventions, EU and national law and in the case of an ERIC, Council Regulation 723/2009 (the ERIC Regulation).
All these have been the subject of a presentation held by Ohad Graber-Soudry at the 6th ERIC Network meeting held in Helsinki on 9-10 May 2017.
